Here's a Story About a 350-Pound Teacher Who Stood On a Sixth Grader's Back

This Minnesota teacher gives stepping out of line new meaning.

Jason L. Rogers, a 49-year-old science teacher at Underwood School District, is charged with three counts of malicious punishment of a child, for intentionally stepping on students.

A sixth-grade boy told authorities that Rogers, who reportedly weighs over 350 pounds, stepped on his back with both feet while he was laying on his stomach during a lockdown drill last February. The child said the incident was so painful it brought him to tears, with his mom adding it left her son "walking around like an 80-year-old."

When questioned, Rogers told investigators he didn't feel like students were taking the drill seriously and decided to put his foot down—pun intended. He also admitted to stepping on two other children.

Rogers, who received an adjudicated sentence from the court, must give up his teaching license, pay $2,250 in fines, and complete two years probation.
